The Skeena Valley Men's Shed Society is not-for-profit and dedicated to charitable, fraternal & social purposes, with our main focus on men's mental health.

We provide a space and shop for men to gather, work on projects, learn new skills, provide mentorship and support each other or just to hang out and have a cup of coffee.

We're a member of Men's Sheds Canada and The Men's Shed Association of British Columbia..

Men's Sheds were started (by a woman!) in Australia in 2007. Her elderly father, after a debilitating heart attack, seemed happiest and most productive while 'tinkering' in his backyard shed. The first North American Shed was started in Winnipeg in 2009, for which the founder received The Order of Manitoba. There are now many Men's Sheds across Canada, with dozens in BC alone.
